Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, to protect the interests of investors in securities, to promote the development of and to regulate the securities market.
SEBI invites applications from Indian citizens for the post of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) for the General Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream, Research Stream, Official Language Stream and Engineering (Electrical) Stream. SEBI reserves the right to fill up the posts or not to fill up the posts at all.

Education Qualification
General Stream - Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in any discipline/ Bachelor’s Degree in Law/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or Chartered Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst/ Company Secretary/ Cost Accountant.
Legal - Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/ Institute.
Two years post-qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961).
Information Technology - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification (minimum two years duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute
Engineering Electrical - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
(i) Working knowledge of electronic systems like CCTV surveillance systems, Addressable Security Alarm and Fire Alarm systems, EPABX, UPS systems, etc.
(ii) Experience in maintenance of lifts, pumps, air-conditioning plants, etc.
(iii) Experience in administering construction projects in all its aspects and knowledge of PERT/CPM techniques.
Engineering Electrical - Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years duration) in Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Financial Economics / Mathematical Economics/ Business Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Industrial Economics/ Business Analytics;
OR
Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in Finance/ Quantitative Finance/ Mathematical Finance/ Quantitative Techniques/ International Finance/ Business Finance/ International and Trade Finance/ Project and Infrastructure Finance/ Agri. Business Finance;
OR
Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years duration) in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics & Informatics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics/ Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics;
OR
Master’s Degree in Mathematics and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a recognized University / Institute.
Official Language - Master’s Degree in Hindi/ Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree in Sanskrit/ English/ Economics/ Commerce with Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi/ Hindi Translation from a recognized University / Institute.
SERVICE CONDITIONS/ PAY AND ALLOWANCES:
a. Probation: The successful candidates recruited for the post of Officer Grade ‘A’ shall undergo probation of two years. The candidates shall be confirmed in the services of SEBI subject to their satisfactory performance during the probation period.
b. Pay: The pay scale of officers in Grade A is ₹ 44500-2500(4)-54500-2850(7)-74450-EB-2850(4)-85850- 3300(1)-89150 (17 years).
Presently, the gross emolument including SEBI’s Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance, Learning Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance, etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx. ₹1,55,000/- p.m. without accommodation and ₹1,16,500/- p.m. with accommodation.
c. Benefits: Other benefits viz., Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Eye Refraction, Knowledge Upgradation Allowance, Briefcase, Conveyance Expenses, House Cleaning Allowance, Staff Furnishing Page 8 of 28 Scheme, Scheme for Purchasing Computers, Subsidized Lunch Facility and all other benefits as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI.
d. Accommodation: Residential accommodation would be provided subject to availability.
e. Posting: The incumbent may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices. The recruited officers may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of stream.
Age Limit (as on 31/03/2024)
a. A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on March 31, 2024 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after April 01, 1994.
b. The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable:
i. up to a maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe if the posts are reserved for them;
ii. up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates if the posts are reserved for them.

How To Apply
Candidate who is eligible and desires to apply for the above post(s) should submit an ON-LINE application with requisite fee/ intimation charges (wherever applicable).
Candidates are required to apply On-Line through the website www.sebi.gov.in from June 11, 2024 – June 30, 2024 and no other mode of application will be accepted.
Candidates need not submit the system generated print out of the ON-LINE application to SEBI's office.
